Hello Nanny23, I also am waiting on an epidural and would like to know if anyone has had relief from this injection. I have spondylolisthesis, osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. Thank you.

Hello Nanny23 - I, too have been diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis, I live in the UK and am awaiting (for ages) rhizotomies in my lumbar L4/L5 spine (this is also called radio-frequency ablation) which "kills" the nerves which are trapped and causing so much pain, but although it lasts longer than the basic numbing injections which lasted a month, the nerves will grow gain. I have also been offered an "open" operation. However, I have never been offered an epidural. Is this because nothing else has worked for you? Or is it because you are not in the UK?

Please tell me all about it, as I should love to know. I'm sorry I can't help by answering your question, only asking you out of my ignorance byone of my own, sorry!

Don’t be sorry. I’m not that smart about it either. Apparently they do this epidural to reduce the pain. I know some friends who have had it and it worked. I also know a friend that had to have surgery and she’s doing great. I thought I was getting aches and pains from aging. Apparently I’m loaded with arthritis. I do hope you feel better. Please keep in touch. I may need the procedure your having eventually. Stay well stay safe. ❤️

I am getting an epidural on May 6th. Not sure if it’s because I live in USA or not this is what my spine dr. Recommended. Hopefully it will work. Hope you are feeling better.

I’m sorry... that must be so painful. I’ve been having a lot of cracking in my ribs and shoulders I should get checked. Thanks for a nudge.
