Diabetes causing back and leg pain?

About three months ago I posted that I had a herniated disk and that I was having muscle spasms. All of a sudden it healed and I didnt think twice. Now all of a sudden I have upper leg pain or sciatica. Is it possible that my leg pain and back pain is because of my type two diabetes and not because of anything else? Also if it is how do I go about treating it because I have had two different shots and none of them worked which is leading me to think it's not sciatica, it's my diabetes. I also recovered from diabetic ketoacidosis which is when my pain started again.
