I have found a small lump in the centre of my chest. I only noticed it one night when I was laying down in bed. I can only feel it when I lie down. When I an standing I really have to search for it. My wife this is it might be my sternum bone. Was just looking for any advice and to see does anyone else have this really. Thanks in advance.

Some advice needed.
Where exactly is the lump? You wife is probably right, there are lots of lumps and bumps to do with the sternum. There are actually three parts of it, with the little pointed bit at the bottom, the main middle bit, and the top bit. There are also joints where all the ribs join it, and they can get bumpy too, especially as we get older.
There are also soft tissue things that it could be, but that will depend on how much body fat you have.
So basically, it could be anything!
Is the lump is between the breasts sort of in the area where your wifes bra would normally sit? Do you experience any sort of chest pain or pain in any of your ribs .
If so then get your doctor to check for Tietse Syndrome. When mine flares up it feels like an angina attack or sharp pains in my ribs.
I hope this helps.
