Good morning lovelies, hope you are not in too much pain today. I have fractures in my spine and just diagnosed with a new fracture. I used to have great difficulty getting in and out of bed. I can only sleep in one position and if I moved in my sleep, woke up in a lot of pain. I have now remedied that and would like to share it with you in the hope that it can help someone. I use a satin bottom sheet which helps me to slide into bed. The way I do it is to sit on the bed and while holding onto the grab rail swing my legs round and gently lower my head onto the pillow. I then manoeuvre myself into my sleeping position. If I move during the night the sheet puts less of a strain on my back. For added slideability I wear a satin nightdress (very sexy! Pity there's no one here to appreciate it). For you gentlemen out there who are horrified at the thought of wearing a nightdress, then I think you can get satin pyjamas! Hope this helps xx

What a great way to manoeuvre yourself and I’m glad it’s helping.
