I would like to know what you think on letter i received from the doctor perhaps some can tell me what means posterior tibel was delayed more on the left in amplitude degraded too the L5 potentials not present on either side s1 was present on the left but absent on the left L4deformatieswere downgraded on the left but just present on the right, there was emg support motor radiculopathy but there spread and blithereral sep abnormalities left s1 l5 l4 this result to a problem in the back. can someone tell me what's wrong and might spinal stenosis.

This sounds like the results of a nerve conduction test of your nerves that run from your back down to your feet. They are not working properly, and the left is worse than the right, and that it is likely being caused by something in your back. What it doesn't say is what is causing this. So for instance to know if it was spinal stenosis you would need an x-ray or MRI.

Diagnoses is often done in iterative steps. That means that they do one test, then another, then another, depending on the result of each. So it looks like the results of this test mean that you might need more to find out further what is actually causing this, but the indications are that the next place to look at is your back.

Alternatively, if you have already had an x-ray that suggested you might have some narrowing of the channel where the nerves are, then this test was to find out how much it is affecting you.
