Hello everyone- I’m not sure if anyone on here is from the US, but if so, does anyone know of a government assistance program or a supplemental health program/insurance that helps you out when your condition prevents you from working days at a time but you don’t qualify for disability?

Medicaid is available depending on your total income which varies state to state and your family (children) status. So far Obamacare is also available to all but is obviously not free. If not eligible for Medicaid it might be worth checking into the cost. Best of luck ....

Not sure about any age requirement but if you can document disability to satisfaction of Social Security, you may be able to go on disability. My Dad did, after two heart attacks in his early 50’s. Also check into whether your employer has any short-term disability. My son went through radiation for cancer and was on that for a few months.
