Perhaps you could ask you Doctor if there's a mild anxiety drug you could take for a month or two in order to help with your anxiety. Or maybe you could do some research on this yourself,. Also, maybe listening to relaxing CD's or cassettes may help. Sounds of nature, listening to subdued voices taking you along to country scenes of your choice.. Have you tried meditation. My concentration doesn't seem to be up to it but many can manage it. Engrossing yourself in something. ? A hobby that needs concentration.

I'm sorry I can't help but just to let you know you are not alone with this problem. I have also got anxiety from gabapentin, I'd never had it before. my gp started me on gabapentin 2 tablets a day but I got severe anxiety between doses and so had to start taking a 3rd dose at lunchtime. The gabapentin gives me very bad water retention in my abdomen and calves, so much it's effecting my breathing and in my legs its causing Achilles' tendon pain. I want to come off it but can't cope with the anxiety, next time I try I'm going to ask my dr if I can have some diazepan for a short period and see if that helps. Not sure she will let me have it tho!

You have my sympathy regarding the anxiety, it makes no sense it just envelopes you completely and for no reason ......there's nothing to feel anxious about, you just are

I hope you find something that helps......have you tried cbt, haven't had it myself so can't say if any good but read it can help some people

Good luck

Jo

Hi, im sorry you have to go through thisi wouldnt wish anxiety on my worst l enemy. I have struggled with it for years, that and depression. My pills helped my anxiety a bit. Now i dont know your views on this but when i started smoking marijuana it helped tremendously. i literally couldn't go into a corner store by myself before i tried it, i would panic so bad. Now im more of an up beat person and can not only go in the store myself but have small talk with the person working. If its something you would consider i suggest to research it or you can ask me questions and ill do my best to help.
