Could my hubby claim sick benefit

My husband works full time and over of a period of 2 yrs he as been in constant pain he as just been diagnosis with cfs also cervical spondylosis and widespread musculoskeletal pain would he be able to claim sick benefit as he his finding his work load impossible due to his health

Possibly he might get ESA but under new DWP rules he would only get the same amount as someone unemployed and would be looking for a job

To get into ESA support where these rules don't apply he needs an awful lo wrong with him.

His first call should be to his employer asking if he can have a lighter work load or less strenuous job.. This is known as 'reasonable adjustments' and the law requires his boss to make these changes wherever possible.

He could apply for PIP which is an in or out of work benefit. Its design is to help those wih long term illness or disability meet the extra costs.

If you have a CAB close try getting to see them.
