Hey I know what you are going through, I have spinal surgery back in 2013 to have a discetomy and spinal fusion plus to try and relief some of the cauda equina. I have been trying to get my pain under control since that op as they couldn't fuse my spine, as my spine was to weak as the bone was to brittle !!! Then they did the discetomy then I finally got home from hospital a week after the surgery . I have gone through epijal injection into my spine, I have had trigger point steroid injection that go into my spine at one point in one go I had 31 injections in one go!!!!! 😜😜😜😜😳😳😳😳😳awwwee !!!! Yes I did hurt!!!! And no it did help my pain in my back lol!!! I did it for the fun of it lol!!! I have tried I think every pain med I can take due to my allergies, I have allergies to Nuts, paracetamol , voterol, penicillin, tramdol, clarithromycin, amoxicillin, erythromycin, metoclopramide, latex , bee's & wasps and shellfish. So I am very limited to what I can take, eat and drink. My life is always can I eat this can I drink this and am I safe , plus have I got my Epi- pen with me at all times !!! As it is my life line!!

check out the forum at apparalyzed.com - there is actually a separate board within the main forum for people with cauda equina and another for incomplete spinal cord injuries - both of which could be useful places for you to get support and information. There are definitely folk there who are having the same kind of problems as you. It is an american based forum, but there are a significant number of UK folk there too.
