Hi I have had an MRI and a cat scan and I am on pregablin ibuprofen paracetomol tried all sorts of medication ie gabapentin amitriptyline none of them seem to work for me im getting more bad days than good days now

Hello

You fail to mention what medications your on, and this helps us know what treatments your having. There is a syndrome called Restless Legs, so that is one way to go .

If you want to research your condition try the NHS CHOICES site that will inform fully your Condition (s)

Your GP will also help in your treatments

Good Luck

How much good quality sleep are you getting? Have you done the necessary work to ensure that you are getting enough sleep? I.e. Before the pain you got a good nights rest. After the pain did you work out how much sleep you lost and then try and catch up with the lost sleep later?

My experience of lack of sleep is that ones muscles start playing up which in turn leads to more pain. So one is in a catch22 situation.

One thing that i found that helps is to sleep on a hard bed. To be comfortable on a hard bed requires a need for relaxing in order to be comfortable. A soft bed has no such requirements. The effort at being relaxed pays off in that one sleeps better.

Being relaxed enables one to more easily accept the pain as is in comparison to what happens when not so relaxed.

All one can do is try the experiment and see what works and what does not.

hope this helps
