Can anyone tell me, when you have an infusion into your vein do you always feel the sensation of the fluid in your vein? I've recently had one but didn't feel anything so worried it may not have worked properly. Maybe I'm just over worrying.

Hello BOB here
Sometimes the infusion and needle site will feel either hot or sometimes you may feel a constant, sharps pain in and around the effected site. This can sometimes be caused if the needle is next to the folds of skin or if the neddle has not presented itself to the needle, ie the entry point in vein is larger than the vein itself and causes a feedback. That can assist in causing a bruise. If you need further information on this your doctor should be informed and He will explain. As I am not medically trained
All the best
BOB
