Has anyone else with chronic lower back pain experienced anything like this before? I've has it twice this week and have never had it before.
It starts ss a mild shivery, tingly sensation and I'd swear I can actually feel lumbar region actually shake - though I don't think it is a visible shake. The tingling went right down both legs for sure and I feeling it in my chest but I can't remember if my arms were affected. I was in the supermarket today with my 4yr old daughter when it happened today and I felt really wier d in my head too, I had to lean on the trolley and hold on for fear of falling and/or fainting. I've not contaced the pain nurse yet as I don't like bothering people and like I said, its a mild sensation and its only happened twice so far - for all I know it might never happen again!!
I have 'mild' disc degeneration (which doesn't feel mild to me!!!) And osteophytes with spurring, have had chronic lower back pain for the last 25 years (I'm 35 now) and am on tramadol, naproxin and gabapentin.
Any help/light/advive woukd be greatfully appreciated!!!!
Thank you in advance!

sounds like a neuro problem to me, i have similar effects, ask yr doctor what he thinks.......take care
I have L3/4/5 disc problems and experience pins and needle sensations washing all over my body, I sometimes feel faint, but I don't take any medication.
It could be a reaction to the medication, but go to the GP as the others suggest, to get checked out.
It could also be a virus, there are some weird viruses out there.
On the physical side a number of things could be happening. You could have had a temporary case of low blood pressure. You also could have alterred the balance of your head which has resulted in a sense of dizziness because the balance mechanisms are off the horizontal.
The leg muscles are too tight pulling on one of the lower vertabra. This has resaulted in momentary weakness because the vertabra has temporary compressed the nerve that feeds the legs.
Thanks guys, I usually ignore stuff like this in the hope it'll go away and only see my gp as a last resort but the thought of something scary happening to me infront of my daughter really frightened me! My next pain clinic appt isnt until the end of the month and that seems too long to wait.
