but the child within who put this in my shopping basket.

Will you need to issue special masks if it is used by many people in one room?

I think masks may be in order just to open the bottle and have a sniff. I'm not sure now whether the name refers to the contents of the bottle or it's effect! Lol xxxx

Think I'll stick with Laxido!!!! and I'm not to have hot spicy food while on Caelyx. Nor am I allowed to wash the dishes for hmm 2yrs LOL

Whippit profile image
Whippit in reply to

ah .... then you should not indulge of the spicy bottle. It is made of fire!

Of course no dishes for 2 years, no housework, no cooking and two weeks' holiday in the Maldives. I've heard this does much to improve the efficacy of Caelyx.

When I meet the Health Improvement Secretary for Wales should I mention that Movicol is more effective than Laxidol and ask if he can explain why it isn't available in Wales?

xxxx love n hugs. Annie

Apart from the flavouring Annie I think the ingredients of both Movicol and Laxido are the same. I get Movicol on prescription as have to have two sachets a day although at moment following the drink with CT scan don't need any. Certainly don't need your chilli sauce. Too much information Lol xxx

Whippit in reply tohil65wil

well, we could conduct our own experiment - you on Movicol, Jean on Laxido, and me on the hot chilli sauce. We just need an umpire and someone to call, 'On your marks, get set, GO!'

HA HA !

"Cooking with SHITO"

That might require some ingenuity. Judging by the way it smellsl I'm more likely to use it as garden compost - but it is a talking point isn't it! lol xxxx

I can't have it as its got fish in and I'm vegetarian !!!! What a shame----- not. Lol.

I thought Laxido is the same as Movicol. I've had both and its just one is the generic name and the other the trade name. Welsh health boards want GPs to prescribe the cheapest version which is the generic one both contain exactly the same ingredients. I always check when I'm given the alternative, comes with working in surgery for 25years. Lol.

Ah, I must put you in touch with Chris who's works on a nursing ward and she can explain the difference between Movicol and Laxido. As I understand it Laxido is cheaper but you need more of it to take effect so it's not cheaper.

I'll let Chris explain if she has the energy.

Loads of love xx Annie

I feel I'd better add a health warning here. I saw it in the local asian shop where I was searching for fresh turmeric. it made me laugh and I couldn't resist buying it and putting it on the table to amuse my husband. I only put it up on the virtual blog table thinking you'd find it funny. Please don't consider it an alternative to conventional movers and shakers in the bowel department.

Perhaps I should not have posted it up the same day as I posted up about my homeopathic appointment!

You do wonder though how it acquired it's interesting name! xxxx
