Today is my birthday and yet a few months ago I thought my friends would be celebrating without me. . I planned it all,, but someone is looking out for me and had different ideas and here I am after having the most wonderful day with my friends. In pain and can't sleep but I would not change it. Lol
But the main reason I am writing is to show that not all statistics are spot on. Sometimes our bodies find ways of coping and get to shock even the doctors. So if you get bad news, have faith and don't just assume what they say is right. It has made me more determeed that ever to keep living...small steps can add up to quite a journey and its the journey that counts. I am not sitting back and waiting, I am living in celebration of life until its time to go.
Sorry for writing but I had such a good day I just had to share my happiness or I would have burst! x

As a bloody minded bolshie old cow who used to teach statistics to A level Geography students I refuse to be a statistic! So welcome to the club! We got cancer, we didn't become it and we don't have to give up!
Im with you all the way on your thoughts. Nobody knows exactly what is going to happen and it infuriates me when doctors say this is how it is . You just don't know, so yes get on with living and iam thrilled to hear you had such a lovely day. Cheers xxx and lots of love , coco xx
You know what they say.... There are lies, damn lies and statistics! I figure statistics can be fiddled to read exactly how you want them, so to hell with them!

Happy Birthday Jules, You are one lady that has proved them wrong. I am pleased you had a great Birthday and There will be plenty more to come. You are quite near me I'm in Swanley, I lived in Greenwich many years ago and I love the park there. Keep being positive I am always positive when someone says I look well I say I feel well. I don't think of myself as ill I have a condition. Hope you have many more Birthdays and keep feeling positive .

I am so glad you had a lovely celebration with your friends. As you say statistics can be wrong and we should listen to our bodies. Well done for keeping your spirits up. I too believe that someone out there looks after me and have the utmost faith in that. I am therefore determined to enjoy each moment of each day as best as I can.
