Hi i know that some of you have been in the same situation with lung clot . I have been taking daily injections but still get a little breathless on exertion and was just wondering how long it took for this to settle . Have been taking the daily for nearly two weeks now
Thanks
Ally

I developed clots in the lung and leg when I was in hospital just before christmas. I too am taking daily fragmin injections ...though I hope to stop soon as I have just completed my last cycle of carbo/taxol. I was very breathless going up the stairs and uncontrollable coughing just turning over in bed. Gradually, without me hardly noticing things improved. I would say it took about a month before I noticed any improvement.
Stick with it, things will get definitely get better!
Sue thanks for this . Daily Fragmin is a bummer ! I have not been breathless at rest now but only on exertion . Good news that you have finished treatment. I hope it has all went well
Hi Ally. I was fairly lucky that the side affects of chemo were mild, though the nausea worsened near the last of the trreatments. Will see my oncologist next month for the 6 week post chemo checkup. I agree "daily fragmin is a bummer"! Only a fellow sufferer truly understands! It stings like hell ...but I have found areas at the top of the legs where its relatively painfree to inject. All black and blue around those areas.
Onto 4th chemo on Thursday . Was doing ok apart from joint pain but this one really nauseated and sick . It stings like mad . I prefer tummy but look as if hubby has beat me up and only a couple weeks in . My oncologist did say the other day that may get away with 3 months instead of 6 months so that would be good . I hope all your treatment has went well and given very good news at your check up
