Dear Juniper43,

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing pain in your legs and difficulty with walking. It's important to seek medical advice about this. I wonder if you have had the opportunity to call your Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), your GP, or NHS 111 who will be able to advise further. If the pain significantly worsens, we would advise that you attend A&E.

Best wishes,

Alice - Ovacome Support

That sounds like lymphedema. There are therapists who can help with this. Also you need compression stockings. Good luck with it.

Hello Juniper 43 From your description it does sound like Lymphoedema. Which I have in my left leg as my lymphatic system has broken down. I went to my GP ( who is very good and I have known him a long time. I know this is rare). and he put in a referral to a Lymphoedema clinic straight away. They were great checking everything out. Taught me how to massage my leg and moisturise every day. I received some compression stocking and a wrap which I wear each day. My leg is not hard now and I can walk better. It might not be this but it could be worth eliminating. Hope you get something sorted. BB.

Hello Badger Bright. Thank you so much for your reply and the information you have shared. As a result I have been in touch with the palliative team and they are referring me to the Lymphodeama team and hopefully I will be helped in the same way you were. Thank you again.
