Hi Has anyone on here tried the Jane maclelland diet from her book, "How to starve cancer"?? She also has a Facebook page. Just wondered if anyone had had some success following her protocol. 🙂

Great book, very informative. Wife's CA 125 has gone down from 3000 to 10, after 6 rounds of chemo and surgery.

Hi there, That's fantastic news about your wife. I unfortunately have not been able to have surgery yet! I have had my 6 rounds of chemo and am waiting to see if I can have surgery. I am still listening to audio book! Does your wife follow any of the books advice???

Yes we're following all of it along with Joe Tippins routine. Using a Rife frequency machine, went totally vegan, growing and eating loads of shitake mushrooms.

Hi there I have just contacted a C.O.C. for a protocol did you and your wife go down this route. Also I would be interested in finding out more about the Joe Tippins routine and Rife machine. I haven't eaten meat for years! Only a small amour of fish. However I have just recently gone completely dairy free. Its so encouraging hearing your wife's story. Its given me some hope. Any more information would be greatly received and appreciated. Thankyou.

Looked at the COC protocol but decided to do our own thing. We take berberine instead of metformin to block the sugar uptake. IP 6 and inositol will block the iron pathway. The oncologist did give us a script for diprylamole, which along with low dose aspirin will break up fibrin in the blood and prevent clots as well as cancer tumors from forming. We swapped out mebendazole for fendbenazole, it's the animal version of the same drug and much cheaper. We get ours from FenBen labs. She also takes beta glucan, high absorption tumeric, b12, zinc, quercetin, fisetin, resveratrol. I made some home made liposomal vit C and she takes that daily. We have a PEMF mat and she uses that daily. The frequency machine we use is the GB 4000 with MOPA, it's important to get one with the plasma tube or else I don't think it will work properly. We eat a vegan diet, live on a farm and get plenty of sunshine. She was out cutting the grass yesterday. Growing shitake mushrooms and eating tons of them! She's an extremely strong, positive woman, and that more than anything is most likely the most important attribute to beating this disease.

Hello everyone,

Thank you very much for sharing your experiences on this thread. We encourage anyone who is considering complementary or alternative treatments to speak with their clinical team first to ensure that they are safe and will not interact with any ongoing cancer treatments. It is also important that your clinical team are aware should you experience any side effects. You may find the information on the Memorial Sloan Kettering About Herbs database useful in preparing for these conversations mskcc.org/cancer-care/diagn... The database lists uses of different supplements and possible interactions.

We would also encourage people to speak with their team before they make any dietary changes for advice about their own individual situation. Your team may be able to refer you to a specialist oncology dietitian for further individual advice. The Association of UK Dietitians has some information which may be helpful regarding cancer diets here: bda.uk.com/resource/cancer-...

The Ovacome support team are also always on hand to help plan for appointments, look up any information that may be helpful, or talk things through, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there is anything that we can help with. You can contact the Ovacome support team by calling 0800 008 7054, by emailing support@ovacome.org.uk or by sending us a private message through the chat function on the forum. The Ovacome support service is available Monday - Friday 10am -5pm.

Best wishes,

Hi there Walkingwithcancer

Thank you for your reply. I was sorry to hear that you’ve had difficulty talking to your oncologist. I wondered whether you had a clinical nurse specialist you could speak to or perhaps your oncologist has a secretary who may be able to help you get in touch? Our support team would also be very happy to help you plan or prepare for any planned medical appointments if you think that could be helpful.

Best wishes
