Hi There, So Mom's PET-CT is done. Looks like the beast is back but fortunately staying in peritoneal cavity. Rest of the body looks disease free. Onco like to start the chemo but like to try platinum free drug due to her CKD situation. He will try Irinotecan. I read about it and seems it is used in instances of peritoneal metastasis of colorectal cancer. Any feedback on this will be helpful..thanks a ton.

I’ve never heard of Irinotecan being used for ovarian cancer. Did oncology give any indication of why this drug would be used?
