Could I ask how you know when you have a recurrence ?
Are symptoms similar to when first diagnosed ?

Hi Sarah, I hope you are ok? I can’t answer your question, but just wanted to say that you were a huge help to me when I was first diagnosed 2 years ago. I’ll always appreciate you taking the time to chat to me, thank you so much xx
Hi Emma Good to hear from you. How are you doing ? I’m ok thanks. Just niggly little things but don’t want to rush to doctor about. I’ve been signed off now for a year so probably just anxiousness now not having blood tests !!
Hi Sarah. For me it was a pain in my lower left pelvis which was exactly the same as my initial symptoms. However since then I occasionally feel the same pain and am ned so I can’t be sure. Some people feel great when they recur while others get ascites and feel miserable. For me CA 125 is not an indicator so I can’t go by that. I think you can request a CA 125 test from your gp. It might put your mind at rest. I hope you’re fine!
Thank you. I think I will just go and have a check up. Weeing more and an bloated. No pain. Not the usual urine infection either.
Hi My symptoms were the same, vomiting ,constipation, ascities. I phoned 24/7 helpline and went to hospital knowing this had returned .This was 31/2 years ago now.Hope you manage to get it checked.xx
My original cancer was discovered during a routine hernia operation. At the time I had no symptoms I could point to and my cancer was 3B! My CA125 was only 45 at diagnosis.
5 years later I developed a swelling in my right inguinal node. My CA125 was 85 so it signaled the need to biopsy. Yup. It was back. Surgery and radiation took care of it and my CA125 is steady at 6.
My oncologist is seeing me every 4 months to keep an eye on me so my next CA125 is in 2 weeks a week before an appt with him. So fingers crossed!
Keeping fingers crossed for you. So good your CA125 has been steady. It’s never far from thoughts is it.
It affects each one of us in such different ways.
