To reassure me, are there any ladies who have not seen their cancer markers go up, or seen growth in other areas of their body?

Hi Jenny I've had three jabs so far and due my 4th tomorrow.I haven't had any effects at all after having all my jabs.I'm taking Olaparib and my CA125 is around 4 or 5.I was diagnosed in 2017.I am feeling very well at the moment so hope the Olaparib continues to do its job.I'm pleased that I decided to go ahead with the vaccines.

Thanks for that. Hopefully there will be more positive replies to reassure me. Sometimes I think I spend too much time researching on the internet, but I am someone who needs to know as much as possible.

There’s so much misinformation out there. Do not believe the non scientific rubbish published. Have had 3 covid vaccines and waiting for 4th .All good wishes

Thanks Jenny for reframing this question. I have had 4 jabs. Ca125 did go up a little bit immediately after but in the long run, no overall effects on my cancer. I was on chemo for the first and on Olaparib since then. My sister in law is a research chemist in the US and reviewed the Pfizer jab during its development. Her husband has cancer and he has had the jab too. The jab does not kill T cells, it teaches your immune system to recognise the spike protein that is part of the virus and to mount an immune response.

Having been in a covid ward during the first lockdown, I became determined that, although cancer will get me in the end, covid wasn’t going to! xx

Hi Jenny,I’ve had four Covid vaccines and they had no effect on my CA125 levels. Have been on Olaparib since April 2020 and remain stable/NED. Just hoping that continues and am relieved that have had all my vaccines.

Hi Fiona. Ive also been on Olaparib since mid-2020. Will be coming off it now as coming up to 2 years. How about you, are you staying on it after the 2 year ‘limit’? Ive had my 3rd jab, no mention of having a 4th from my GP or anywhere else. I am London based, where are you please?

I’m in Scotland. Had appointment for 4th Covid vaccine in mid January. Everyone in the “shielding“ category was offered it here. Was sent appointment by health board, not via GP.

Was told by oncologist when started Olaparib that would be kept on it for as long as it was working. Am a bit confused about that now because I was commenced on it immediately after first-line treatment, not after a recurrence. Am due my next appointment with oncologist in April, when my 2 years is up. Will see what she says then. Have to say am not in a rush to come off it if can continue, as long as my bloods are okay & it’s still working. Were you also started on it immediately after first-line treatment? Hope it’s working well for you.

Yes, I will still have jab five. When I read these worrying things, I always feel the need to consult with my Ovacome ladies.

Okay then - I wondered, because no one has had 5 doses of a vaccine at this time, that would be absolute overkill and utterly pointless at this stage.

I've had all the vaccines am currently on chemo and my markers are going down. The markers aren't the be all and end all it's the scans that actually matter and I think you need to talk to your oncologist regarding your thoughts on t cells or at least your CNS as they understand how these things work. Hi Jenny, I have had three Phizer jabs when I was having chemo and a month on Niraparib now my CA 125 was 4 for a couple of months and this month is 10. But my oncologist said the change is nothing to worry about as it is still low, the PARPS I am taking has made the change so hopefully it will go down again. But with regards to the jabs It hasn’t affected me at all.

I've had 3 jabs, and a consistent reduction in my cancer with chemo and op. Today my CA125 is down to 18. I am battling the system to get my 4th jab and I think that Covid poses more risk to me than the vaccination.

I had vaccine at may 2021, before that -3 weeks I had ultrasound of pelvic-nothing wrong...6 weeks after vacine on ultrasound, different doctor, sow tumor on ovary 3cm- malignant. I have GCT which is connecetd with high inhibin b marker. Maybe is not connected, then is human mistake in diagnosis, but i will not take any vaccine anymore.
