Hi all

This is a post to let you know that PhD student Elizabeth Dolan, at the University of Nottingham’s N/LAB research centre, has launched the second stage of her study with Ovacome. It's titled 'Ovarian cancer and shopping for healthcare products: using transactional data to investigate the pathway to diagnosis of ovarian cancer'.

Your Tesco Clubcard data can help ovarian cancer research, and Elizabeth's team are now recruiting all women with a diagnosis of ovarian cancer in the last ten years with a Tesco Clubcard.

Did you shop at Tesco and use your Tesco Clubcard before being diagnosed with ovarian cancer? Would you be willing to share your Tesco Clubcard data with Elizabeth and her team?

Tesco’s new data sharing function makes it easy and quick to share. Building on previous research, they are investigating the relationship between women with ovarian cancer who have been misdiagnosed, and shopping for healthcare products.

Go to nlab.org.uk/ovarian-cancer-... to find out more about the study.

Click here nottingham.onlinesurveys.ac...... to share your data.

If you would like to discuss the process with a member of our support team, please don't hesitate to call our support line on 0800 008 7054. We're here Monday - Friday, 10am - 5pm.

Best wishes

Annie

I think this is a fantastic idea- I've talked about it to a few friends. Sadly I don't use a Tesco clubcard though I can report I thought my ovarian cancer was Ibs and was buying Ibs relief tablets from superdrug, probiotics, and radically changed my diet to a low fodmap regime in an effort to reduce major bloating. But eventually I had a blood test that revealed a ca 125 level of 3900....Really hope this study gets some takers.
