Seeking advice

Has anyone suffered from costachodritis from lynparza/olaparib or had it and made it worse

I had to look it up but now I have seen the description..chest pain… I wonder if I also have it in a mild form. I had very bad pleural effusion on both sides before treatment and I had put it down to the after effects but it does seem to fit with this. I have been on Lynparza for 5 months. Have you had a diagnosis or any treatment? x

Hi Linda I am stage 3c ovarian cancer I had the usual chemo debulking chemo and I had a complete response l am braca 1 so went on olaparib I am on it for nearly 4 mts after 3 mts 2 weeks ago had phone consult with consultant who said no scan as my bloods were good and ca125 was 11 he was happy I have always had a bad back and fibromalgia I had been going to physio mentioned it to my gp today and he says u need scan in case its gone to the bones I am just devastated 😢

GPs know nothing as far as I am concerned. It’s for your oncologist to say if you need more tests and s/he seems pleased with your ca125 which is great btw! Please don’t let this GP scare you with no evidence to support what’s been said. Ask your oncologist for reassurance xx

Hi I quite agree with Lyndy on this.It’s worth mentioning to your oncologist when you next speak to them,but I personally wouldn’t listen to your gp about this,they do not know enough and your ca 125 is great.It could be a number of things causing it,try to stay positive x
