Good morning ❤️

My mum had ppc grade 3c diagnosed jan 2019... her ca125 was 5 after hysterectomy... on monday it was “4” relief... feel we go from every 12 weeks to the next .... She’s doing well so far... will they continue with her check ups every 12 weeks for a few years?.... She’s seeing her onclogist and surgeon next month.... and they want bloods again, will the worry ever go away? the fear of recurrance is always there although I dont tell her I worry ❤️

Thinking of you all xxxxxxx

That’s good news! My daughters would probably say that the worry doesn’t go away completely but with luck it goes into the background while you get on and have lots of good times xx

HiReally pleased things are going so well for Mum.

I had the same diagnosis. In June 2019

I'm not sure bow often Mums Ca125 will be checked. My brca test was positive so I'm on Olaparib and monitored monthly at the moment.

Regarding the worry i think Lyndy is right, it doesnt go away just recedes a little allowing you to get back to your old self and enjoying life.

Having such a wonderful caring daughter will help so much too!

All the best to you both.

Hi. That’s fantastic. I think the norm is to be monitored every three months for two years then every six months maybe for three years.

My advice is to be as vigilant as you can, and try to get your mom to go for check ups as frequently as you can. I was six years past ovarian cancer but then had a reoccurrence. The only reason I knew this is I insisted on going for six month follow-up ‘s and CA125 bloodwork. My healthcare would cover it and I knew it was important to keep on top of this terrible invader. Good luck to your mom and of course you are scared, you are a loving daughter. We are blessed to live in a time of many treatment options. Praying for your mom 🙏
