As of today am on my road to recovery 3.5 week in. For the debulking had my uterus, fallopian and ovaries removed and also my omentum, appendix and gallbladder. The appendix and gallbladder was an extra bonus, they removed not due to cancer but I guess they looked weird. Oh well now I don’t have to worry about them. The path was good, all visible cancer was gone with abdomen and only needed to remove organs so now 3 more treatment of taxol/carbo. So now they originally thought it was PPC, then switched to OC, now they believe is is now Womb Cancer.
They retook my CA 125 which was an 18 after my 3rd treatment and now it’s a 14. So now will start my last 3 treatments starting next Friday, cannot wait which I know is a weird statement but ready to be done.
Cheers!!!

So happy for you - fantastic news. I’m on the same pathway. Had my 3rd chemo Carbo/Taxol last Tuesday and scan yesterday. Video conference with Oncologist scheduled for 5th Aug when I hope to get an operation date. Not holding my breath as there were lots of mutterings about Covid delays again so won’t be surprised if more chemo first which will be disappointing. CA125 down from 685 to 78 after 2 chemos. I’m stage 3 serous OC. How have you found the chemo?
Chemo treatments haven’t been to bad. Yes, I feel like crap on day 2-3 but usually spring back right afterwards. The only side affect that I have is neuropathy in my feet, other then that all good. I try to get as much protein as possible which is usually a shake and then drink as much water as I can. Every time I got to the bathroom am like, well there is more cancer being flushed down and out of me. 😂😂😂
Numbers in the right direction 👍. Onwards and upwards to the end of chemo. Mine was OC and womb separately which whilst a bit of a double whammy, was better than a spread! X
I'm the same - having had the op on 21st I restart chemo on 11 May and am really looking forward to it . While I was waiting for the op I I missed a chemo session and it felt like nothing was being done! And let's face it, it also gets us out of the house! Good luck. x
I can totally relate. I have stage 4A OC. Four chemo infusions down, two to go!! All visible cancer was gone after my surgery. My surgeon left my gallbladder and appendix ( she said my appendix was “pretty”😄).
Hope you have an easy recovery and your disease can soon be a thing of the past💜
