I didn't have this but it looks like a great option, used in debulking surgery to freeze surrounding cells and slow growth. It looks like a great option and for only those whom qualify. I had intraperitenil chemotherapy, I know no one who had this , I've been cancer free 6 yrs April. Best wishes. Liz

I had plasma jet surgery. My surgeon said that she managed to remove more tumours than she would have done with usual methods.

Despite that I did still have some tumours she couldn’t get.

Post surgery recovery - I haven’t had any issues. Surgeon thought I recovered quickly (though there are several factors that help with recovery).

It is the only surgery I had so I can’t compare to anything else.

If I were offered surgery again I’d definitely be asking about the possible use of the plasma jet again.

Hello mienvee. I went for a consultation in Guildford in 2018 when considering plasmajet surgery. The consultant was lovely and explained everything clearly. I decided not to opt for the plasma jet just because it meant having surgery quite a distance from my home and I decided to put my trust in the team I had. I read a few articles about the plasma jet and it did show promising results. Good luck whatever you decide to do x
