As patient rep. for this trial, this is just to let you know that another centre has opened - The Churchill Hospital in Oxford. This joins UCL, London and Edinburgh Cancer Centre as being able to treat patients on this trial.
It is hoped that both Christies, Manchester and Mount Vernon Hospital, Hillingdon, Herts. will soon be ready for patients.
If you think this could help you, please talk with your clinical team.
Warm wishes, Lesley

Thank you for posting this - great news. I have clear cell and an currently under investigation for a possible recurrence. Hopefully I'll be fine but good to know that a clear cell trial is a possibility - I'm under UCH. As a matter of interest, how did you become a patient rep for this trial?
Hi Sundra, I am stage 3c clear cell and am on the Patriot trial at the uclh research facility. I am also very interested in the peacocc trial although I may no longer be eligible as have developed mild pneumonitis. The Patriot trial is a phase one trial for the drug AZD 6738 and I have been stable on it for 20 months so far and am very close to a partial response. Next scan in 2 weeks so pretty nervous.
Hi Neona Thanks for this - great to hear you've been stable for a good length of time on the Patriot trial. Wishing you the very best as you go forwards and especially for your next scan. x Sundra
Good luck, Neona. We've 'chatted' before, so it's so good to hear you are holding steady, despite the mild pneumonitis. Am sure UCLH will guide you about PEACOCC as you progress.
I volunteered to the Cancer Research UK-UCL Cancer Trials Centre at 90, Tottenham Court Rd. about two years ago; I responded to a post via Ovacome on HealthUnlocked, I think.
They are looking for more patient reps I think and are planning a training day in October to help start the learning/appreciation of what is involved. If you're interested do say and I'll check with the team they can take more.
