On a previous post, I said that I was trying to decide if I could risk a trip to New Zealand to visit my son. After all the positive replies, I decided to go for it. Well, I am just back and had an amazing time. My lovely sister, knowing that I didn't want to travel all that way on my own, said that she would come with me, so after spending time with my son in Wellington, we fitted in a trip to the South Island, and managed tours and glaciers and whale watching, so had a trip of a lifetime.
Thanks for all the advice, and to anyone else wavering on the sidelines, I would say "just jump in, we don't know what the future holds for us".

Well done I have just braved it to travel to Western Australia to visit daughter and family. So pleased we made it. It's amazing how good time with family makes you feel when they live so far away.
Brilliant news, I’m so pleased you went for it and enjoyed yourself. It’s sounds totally fabulous, I’ve never been but maybe one day I will. Keep planning and taking part in lovely events, thank you for sharing your lovely news with us ❤️Xx Jane
Thanks for sharing your wonderful trip. It sounds amazing! I just got back (to the US) from a trip to Italy and I am so glad we went. It was challenging for me because of the neuropathy in my feet and the beginnings of lymphedema in my feet and ankles but I think living life to the fullest is the way to make the awful treatments worth suffering through.
I am just back from Australia and New Zealand and had a fantastic time. My highlight was flying over the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers then landing on the latter, definitely the best experience of my life. Really wish I knew how to upload a photo to show you all!!
News and to know you had such a good time in my home land ! I was due to visit my two sons and four little grandchildren In a months time but at the tail end of Taxol chemo suddenly went down like a ninepin with pneumonia , 10 days in hospital ! I’m hoping to get my strength back and perhaps go a bit later!. I’ve done the journey many times , but never with side effects of Taxol and recovering from pneumonia!!
I hope you took some nice photos of your trip which sounds like it was a huge success!! Well done!!
