Hi ladies are there any of you that has a serous borderline ovarian tumour with micro papillary structure? I'm just newly diagnosed at stage 3.

Hi, sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but as far as they go, it's a good one to get! I also had borderline with micro papillary structures. Can I ask how old you are? More typical in younger women, but not exclusively.

I had my tumours removed, at stage one and so far I'm completely fine! Borderline don't tend to spread, and if they do, very slowly x

Hi Jen,

Thanks for replying πŸ˜€

I'm a usually very fit and healthy 54 year old. I was diagnosed stage 3 due to delays with the operation. Just have to hope that the microscopic implants decide to give up.

That's great news that you've had no recurrences! πŸ˜€

Hi, I had a tube and ovary removed on 20th June, after testing I got a call back to say it was a stage 1 serous borderline tumour. I have been reassured by the Macmillan Nurse that it's not invasive. I'm seeing the surgeon on 3rd September as I'm having completion surgery (hysterectomy I think) and this is purely preventative. I've also been told that even it has spread outside the ovary, it's not invasive and doesn't act like other cancers but I will know a lot more next week as I have a list of questions for the surgeon lol

Hi what questions are you asking ..i have had stage1c1 serous bot. Left ovary and 2 tubes removed and they are advising completion with omentum removed in Jan. My problem is if it's non invasive do I really need it? I'm 52 and had wanted to keep my ovary and bits .thankyou.its v confusing.

Hi, that's good news! I hope the op goes well, it's never as bad you imagine it will be. I thankfully took earplugs into hospital, there were a few snorers on the ward 😴 I'm 4 wks out of surgery and I'm healing well with only some bowel issues. X
