Dear All

You may have seen the news today that the PARP inhibitor Niraparib has been referred to the Cancer Drugs Fund. There is information on the NICE website here:

nice.org.uk/news/article/on...

What this means is that Niraparib hasn't been approved by NICE for routine availability on the NHS. However, if the Cancer Drugs Fund agree to cover it, then it will be available through application for funding through the CDF (which your consultant will need to do).

We will keep you updated as to Niraparib's progress through the CDF process, which hopefully will be successful and make this PARP inhibitor more widely available.

Best wishes

Anna

Funny how the press release makes it sound like good news, when I suspect many patients actually facing ovarian cancer will feel like they have been let down. Bravo NICE. Good work.
