Hi Cindy, please don't worry, although Ovacome is a UK based charity there are lots of members here from other parts of the world. Your post has already helped a couple of people find ways to meet up so I do hope it will be left up!! You're really welcome to stay and you will find a warm welcome & support here... you may even find people near to you!

There is though another OvCa forum on HU which has more people from North America, though not exclusively- its called Share (I think?)

It can be helpful to let people know where you're from just as healthcare systems can be slightly different. Some of us added to our user names to show this and others will include something in our sign-off.

If however, you are looking for a proper local support group, and this forum isn’t what you need, you can leave the group by ‘unfollowing’ it. On a mobile device there’s a green box saying ‘Following’ - if you click on that, it removes you from the forum.

Hi Cindy. As the other ladies have said this site has ladies all over the world I'm in Australia and some times you just need to correspond with someone who know how you feel and maybe need some advice or encouragement and you will find it on here.

I’m from Canada! It’s a great site. Have you also been on inspire? That’s an amazing online site, based in US, lots of info regarding American health care and doctors etc

Hi Just wanted to let you know that the women on this site are also from countries outside of the UK. I am from Canada, there are other women from the U.S., there are women from Australia and Germany as well. I find that we all get the same standard of care for our OC, and we have the same kinds of chemos available to us. I've found it to be such a worthwhile, supportive site even though I live so far from the UK. Kim xx

Haha--that would be fun. But if you go on Inspire, you will see some of the same people so others had this idea too (to join both). Also--I read on here there is a Facebook one although I don't know what it is called. I am going to start on a PARP soon and there is a FB group for that which is helpful too. ox
