Results of platelets are good 😎

Hi Ladies just back from my result of platelets as I mentioned I needed dental work and need my platelets up up a lest 100 they were 49 about 3 weeks ago

I was pleasantly surprised I expected about 90 but the results is 146, so will now go ahead with the dental work.

Why the results is so good I can't say the changes in my food intake are full cream milk I never drink milk but did get this tip, I have about 2 or 3 glasses a day was also drinking a lot of juices pomegranate was one and did eat paw paw not every day.

All so just tried to eat well.

Congratulations on your result. What a happy new year for you. Good work. I believe in lots of leafy greens and Belgium chocolate ice cream.

I need dental work done also, but trying to wait till my treatment of Avastin is finished. Nurses at hospital last Friday when having treatment told me only 3 treatments left, 2 nd March I finish. Far out! When this time last year from what Oncologist told me, I didn't have much past Xmas just gone to live! Blows me away. The Oncologist now says that there is no cancer in my body that they are aware of!!! I have been very lucky that all treatments went well for me, well I tolerated them. From being told that and told I have stage 4 overian cancer with secondary in left lung to now.

Be positive and open yourself to let the drugs do what they need to do.

Isn’t it. Can’t give up, so much research on cancer happening and a new drug that helps will surely come up.

Avastin is fairly new in Australia for overian cancer.

I live in WA and a friend of mine finished 12 months on Avastin 6 months ago and is doing very well. We seem to be keeping up with the rest of the world quite well... all very heartening!!

Hi Rossnbren, I was please about the platelets and was going to ring the dentist but Tuesday night I ended up in hospital, with a and a viral infection just got home Friday . I did get some good new from my oncologist who came to see me as she was about to ring home, did I want to go on a new trial at Westmead hospital, it seems it is being trialed here and in the Uk and USA ,

I have a 18 page information sheet to read and then I will post the information on here encase the ladies are interested.

Yes We are at last seeing some interest in ovarian cancer we still need more ..Take care Lorraine xx

That sounds promising and would be interested in reading it also glad you have recovered from the viral infection. I had an occasion to visit Westmead Hospital a few years ago and was very impressed with the whole Hospital Medical complex.. you should be in safe hands and look forward to hearing all about it. Hi, Just got home I ended up in hospital Tuesday night with a viral infection, I did get some good news from my oncologist asked if I would like to join a new trial at Westmead hospital this trial will start here and the UK, plus USA I have a 18 page information sheet to read. Then I post on here some information it may help to read about the trail..Take care Lorraine xx

Hi Netti. As I said that was a tip from a site and I never used full cream milk I always used almond milk but my results were go so who knows..

Pomegranate is supposed to be good for platelets too - good choice 😊

Hi Vicki, Just got home and read my emails thank you, yes platelets are good but ended up in hospital Tuesday night with a viral infection, good new was my oncologist came in and asked if I would like to go on a new trial at Westmead hospital, this trial in starting here and the USA, Uk.
