Degenerative cells?

Hi all I had what was believed to be a benign large ovarian serous cyst removed 5 weeks ago. The consultant has called me tonight to say that some degenerative cells were found in the fluid and they are doing further tests. She told me not to worry but I am!! Do any of you know what degenerative cells could be caused by? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you ladies
