Well, Friscok12, I don't know what you've been through but I had post op ileus (paralysed bowel) and once it got going, yeah, sounded like bad plumbing (which is about right!). Unfortunately the pain stayed for a while, but both the noises and the pain will fade in a couple of weeks. Pain management & constipation meds are in your future for a bit I fear. It'll improve - honest!
My thoughts are with you.

I have endless problems with my bowel/colon and last weekend ended up going for help at Lisbon hospital.
I have had ileostomy /reversal/colostomy in 18 months The Portuguese doctor suggested eating more little meals and nothing green or greasy .
It seems to be an ongoing endless problem.
Hi there, I've had a few blockages and the washing machine noise and pain is normal. Has the blockage sorted itself out? If it has then hopefully you should be back to normal soon. The doc prescribed buscopan for me and I find this really helps with the pain and trapped wind. Also walk around as much as you can, as this will help everything get moving again/keep moving. Also hot water bottle helps with the pain. Hope you feel better soon xx
Hi had no blockages but since surgery I've had a really bad time with constipation severe wind pain, and washing machine noises. I take Senna and prunes every day but still don't go for four days at a time.

This describes my Mom's situation almost exactly. I don't believe she has had any blockages, as she has been having bowel movements, but has also described the noises, as well as gas and constipation pain. She had an ileostomy reversal back in March and her bowels have been acting up in all sorts of ways. I heard it takes about a year for things to really start settling down. However, she has recurred and is now on Doxil and an immunotherapy clinical trial, which I think has also been giving her some colitis. I'm sorry you ladies are experiencing these issues.
Hugs and warm wishes,
Roland
