Is this normal?

Is it normal to still feel queasy 6 weeks after finishing carbo/taxyl. I am winding myself up as the only symptom I had leading up to diagnosis was nausea. Now that my first post-chemo scan is booked I can't tell if I feel sick because of the chemo, cancer is back or just plain fear.

Hi Neona

I was still feeling nauseous some months after finishing chemo. The oncologist said it was because my body had taken a battering from the chemo. I am now nearly five months away from chemo and the nausea has subsided. The oncologist said it was ok to continue with anti sickness pills at the time.

Hi Neona,

Yep ! Perfectly normal, my last chemo was in January and still have the odd anti sickness pill .. reassuringly it happens to a lot of us, I also 'enjoy ' the tropical 🌴 heat moments that goes hand in hand with the chemo after effects 😡!!

Have a great weekend,

Much love ❤️

Thank you-yes I get those tropical beat moments too but didn't know it was caused by the chemo!

Hi

My mum finished chemo and is now on Avastin. She stopped taking the anti sickness and started to feel nauseous again. She just takes the pills now and again. The chemo will still be in your system.

Hi lovely,

You have to get use to the 'new you' this being it won't go back to 'normal' for a long while just take each day as it comes and try not to worry about your scan, easier said than done but as everyone has to remember you can't change what the results will be xxxx
