They found few oc cancer cells but no tumour ? Thinking is this rare ?

I'd like to speak someone who is going through this or had before. :)

Hello! Can you give us a little more information? What was your diagnosis? How did they 'find a few oc cancer cells?

I ask because on my scans there were no visable tumors or masses, but there was fluid in my abodomen (ascities). This fluid along with my elevated CA125 showed the cancer was still active after completion of my firstline treatment. I am Stage 3c Clear Cell and it can be notorious for being sneaky.

Hey you :)

Ummm, they found cyst on my ovaries and they cut it off. Take tests and samples.

After op , dr said im clear, no cancer was found. Cyst was empty.

2weeks later I got a call where my dr told that they found few cancer cells on my abdominal washing/ omentum. But still my cyst was clear and empty. My pet scan was all clear.

That take me to stage 3a.

My doctor told me that my oc isn't spread. Only cells so that count but still 3a, just on paper.

Good luck to you !:)

STAGE III: Tumor involves 1 or both ovaries with cytologically or histologically

confirmed spread to the peritoneum outside the pelvis and/or metastasis to the

retroperitoneal lymph nodes

This is how it is staged, were you 3A1 or 2?
