Long term chest drain

My wife has ovarian cancer fluid on the chest and we've been advised a long term chest drain would help with chemo , problem is consultant thinks due to wife's condition and age the surgeons may reject referral

O dear... Hope everything works out for you both 😃

I am so sorry you had to join this site and also sorry your wife is ill at the moment, my advice would be for you to ring the Ovacome Nurse and get some advice from her. It is a worrying time for you at the moment so perhaps you might speak to your gp as well as he would be familiar with your wifes health. Sending you kind thoughts
