Hello ladies , my hair has been falling out for 3 days now ( my hair is so thick it still looks normal head of hair π) and my scalp is very sensitive , but I've also had a dull headache for those 3 days , is that normal?
Headaches during chemo and the four days or so afterwards were in my side effects. My GP prescribed a 'range of painkillers' with paracetamol being the most gentle and safe end of his spectrum. I'd chat to your GP, nurses and docs at chemo. Hope today is good,
My head was also very sore to the touch if I comb my hair right it is still covering the bald bits but I do feel self conscious about going out in public.
My hair is so thick although a lot of hair has come out only today looking thin, picked up my ( brilliant ) wig last Thursday , have you got yours yet?
Yes very strang experience trying on loads of wigs from a suitcase. I have also bought some fun wigs to ring the changes and pick myself up on my down days π« I must say the NHS wigs are good and I am quite please with it I just don't want it to look like a wig. people look at you strangely . Had my first outing with one of my fun wigs and people loved it but I did get a few looks but in not sure if it was me feeling vulnerable.
Hi Diane, in short yes, it happened to me too. The headache started yo make me feel quite sick and I had a pain in my skull where it would rest against the sofa or pillow in bed. I went and had my hair shaved off to a No2 cut and it instantly felt better. Don't worry, it willgrow bacvk again when treatment ends. This is my second time for chemo and after my first my hair came back as thick as before. Ann x
Thank you Ann , good to know about hair growing back thick , I had my head shaved Thursday and it was slot better thankfully weird feeling on the pillow but I'm sure I'll get used to it lol
