It's the scariest of times but it sounds as if you have been diagnosed quickly and action is being taken. The operation wasn't at all bad for me, you have to take time with recovery and look after yourself afterwards but I can only say that I felt so much better afterwards. I felt I could get on with getting well again. I hope that you will come through this successfully and that the outcome is as good for you as it can be. Wishing you well with your op. xx

I echo what the ladies say - your not alone. We've all be through that panic stages. However do remember that many things raise the ca125 number, endometriosis for example. Also there is lots of different types of ovarian tumours and only 15% of them are cancerous. Hang tight until you find out exactly what you are dealing with.

Best wishes

Michelle

It is very scary, waiting for someone to tell you exactly what's wrong and what needs to be done. We have all been through some version of what you describe. When I found out how huge the tumor was, I felt like fainting. I swear I don't remember agreeing to chemo after surgery. It just kind of rolled out and happened. Two years later, I still don't remember some of those moments. The shock that, hey, this is me, my body these people are talking about, it's never cleared.

But no, you are not alone. We are all here, we have been through or are going through this awful disease, we are here. Nesie

Hello - you are not alone, I was diagnosed at 40, still going at 47 and I know there are many more treatments out there if I need them. Its very good if things go fast, much better than NHS dragging things out as they did with me. You will find so much help and support on this forum - Nicola

I'd just like to echo Michelle. Ca 125 of 135 isn't that high. Many women have scores in the thousands.

Mine was 130. It was a v large tumour which turned out to be a Borderline - 'cured by surgery'. The MDT at my local hospital were v gloomy after seeing my scans, but I was referred to a teaching hospital and my surgeon took a different view. Are you seeing a GyneOncologist? It makes a lot of difference. Ov Ca is difficult to diagnose from scans, unless there is obvious spread. Often it's down to the pathologist.

Fingers crossed for you.

As all the ladies have said, you are not alone! We are here for each other, and you will receive great support from all members. We have all been there, and only us fully understand how you are feeling.

Cancer is now so widespread in our country, but new trials and treatments are on the increase, and much focus now on boosting our immune systems, which will help our bodies fight this foul disease.

Sending you best wishes and support, stay strong and fight as we all have to!!!

This is a scary time so you are bound to feel afraid. The trick is to stay positive and be strong. Kick the cancer's scrawny backside. .. That's what I'm doing. Not always easy but it is therapeutic. Take care. Jeannine xxx

You are certainly not alone as everyone on here has been in a similar situation at some time. I would suggest making a list of questions to ask at your appointment tomorrow and if possible take someone with you so that there are 2 pairs of ears to take in what is being said. You will probably be given a lot of information and it can be hard to take in if you are on your own.

Do let us know the outcome of your appointment so we can give you further support.

Best wishes,

Barbara

Yes indeed, we all have stories to tell, we have been there had surgery and chemo, some have chemo surgery and finish chemo. We are a lovely group of ladies and a few gents if I say so myself. It is okay to feel scared, and the waiting is the worst. Wishing you the best of luck for tomorrow, hopefully you will have someone to bring with your as two pairs of ears are better. Surgery is doable, very doable as things have improved during the years. It is better to stop having converations with yourself about what may or may not be said. It is only upsetting yourself. So write down any questions you have to ask as your think of them. We are here for you and hope you will let us know how you get on.

Please don't feel alone. This will be one of the hardest times but try and take each day at a time. I was only diagnosed in March. I had hysterectomy and debulking 2 weeks ago. I have just had follow up app and confirmed as stage 3a which is brilliant news for me. A few hiccups along the way but taking one step at a time helps massively. Chemo in a few weeks but not focusing on that yet. Try not to think too far ahead. Each and everyone of us is different but the one thing we have in common is we are all going through the same ordeal. Some easier some harder. But all feel the same. Ladies on here are fabulous so ask anything you like as someone will have the answer.

It's good that your team are moving forward so quickly.

Thinking of you
