Has any of you fine people had the octopus trial suggested to you?

Hadn't heard of it but then I'm only newly diagnosed with Clear Cell so the trial wouldn't apply to me . It looks interesting and good to see that more trials are taking place for this.

Hi Choski, yes trials seem to be coming into there own.

I was on a phase 1 trial of Taxol and AZD2014 (it wasn't called Octopus, but it's the same drugs).  It did work for a while but had to be stopped when I got pneumonitis.  Until then, the side effects were minimal.

Unfortunate you got pneumonitis Gina, is that one of the possible side effects?

Yes, I think it is, but I wouldn't let it put you off, as everyone is different. They said it could have been caused by the drug, or by some kind of unidentified infection, they weren't sure.  I was quite run down at the time, as I'd just had flu.

No bit I think the lady opposite me yesterday during chemo was on it. Won't see her for another 3 weeks bit I'll ask her how it is going!

Thanks
