What is Severe dyaskarosis?: Hi, I had sever... - My Ovacome
What is Severe dyaskarosis?
Hi Louise,
It seems to me that you have nothing to worry about, seeing as you have been told the removal has worked and they don't want to see you until 2015. Best wishes love x G x
But you can read about it on Patient.co.uk
the link is .....
Sorry, Louise, I've no idea what it is but it's reassuring for you that the Doctor doesn't need to see you until 2015, isn't it? Gwyn's suggestion is a good one - my own doctor recommended the site to my husband (without the addition of /health/Ca) so it's obviously a site recognised by Doctors.
Best wishes, Solange
Thanks for your replies, docs removed area but since them I have so many problems with stomachs cramps pains and bloating not sure if its linked but didn't understand what docs said about dyaskarosis and my area that was removed by leep??
Hi Louise,
Leep is just the method that they use to remove the dodgy cells, it also says that if you have this procedure you will get symptoms i.e. period pains or bleeding etc.
If you click on the link I posted you can then click on to a support website for this called Jo's support ( or something like that ) you will probably get a lot more information on that website ....because this forum is for ovarian cancer, you haven't got this so it might cause you more concern than you need.
You can also type in your question on Cancer research uk and they might have got an explanation for the procedure you have had.... Love x G x
Dear Louise
The term dyskaryosis is usually used in describing cell changes in the cells covering the cervix and the degree to which the changes extend. If these cell changes are left and not dealt with- as yours have been- they may become over time the very early stages of cancer. It sounds as if your treatment has been entirely successful which is good news. Make sure that you attend for all your follow up appointments.
You may find that Jos Trust that specialises in cervical cell changes and cancer will be able to help you further as they know a lot about these matters whereas Ovacome specialises in supporting those affected by ovarian cancer.
Wishing you all the very best
Ruth
Thank you very much Ruth xx
Thank you all I didn't realise I thought this page was for people regarding smears etc xxx
Dear Louise85,
Unfortunately ovarian cancer is not detected through smear tests, neither is there any screening for it, so this is why I said this forum might be a bit worrying for you and this is why you are better joining the Jostrust you will find support and answers there.....sending you best wishes love x G x
