I had a polyp removed from my uterus which was bleeding and the dr. did a ultrasound glad to say it was benign but they have found a large cyst on my rt ovary I was shocked as I have no symptoms he said he can’t say if it is cancer or not but I had blood taken and he want to do an mri I’m 68 and now wondering how long it’s been there I read that in post menopausal women this is quite often cancer so I’m now very worried any info or help would be great thank you x

Hi Janet, I was sorry to read your post and can imagine you are quite worried about the cyst. Hopefully the doctor will have given you a follow up appt.
Unfortunately you do not always get pain when you have ovarian cancer. Or as with myself was mistaken for diverticulitis, IBS etc until it’s too late.
You need further tests first before they can confirm anything and unfortunately this all takes time, and nothing moves fast.
It doesn’t always mean cancer so please don’t dwell on it, it’s that awful waiting time for you.
Sending you lots of love 💕 hugs 🤗 and positive thoughts your way xxxxx
Thanks for your reply I had a colonoscopy a few years ago and was told I had diverticulosis and my doctor said I had ibs but that’s been better lately just need to wait now and keep my fingers crossed.
Hopefully now they are aware the cyst is there they will get going on planning your care. Stay positive honey, easy for me to say when you are waiting. We do all get through this awful disease even if it’s a day at a time and chemo, chemo, chemo.
We are all here for you xxx
I hope by now you have got some results and that they are favourable, do let us know how you are doing
Hi thanks for your concern my blood tests have come back as normal so I’m hopeful that it will be good news I still have to have a mri but the doctor has not asked for it to be done as urgent so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be benign I will keep you updated but looking good so far thank you x
