Ovacare coffee morning in Cork

Hi everyone it was great to at last get to the Coffee Morning in Cork this morning. Of course I was late and probably live the nearest. I want to say thank you to June and Ruth for organising this morning, it does take time and effort. The pastries and scones with strawberry and cream were just delicious. It was lovely to meet everyone again and we had a few laughs. Best wishes to all

Hi Joan

I was really sorry to cancel at the last minute. My energy levels are at an all time low . I met the cancer psychologist on Friday and the plan was to continue on to Cork. I just realized a few days earlier that it would have been too much so I emailed June. I’m saving my energy for a family trip to Lourdes the week after next . I will pray and light candles for all my Ovacare and Ovacome friends.

I hope you are keeping well yourself and I hope we meet up some other time. Take care

Do enjoy Lourdes, it is meant to be lovely, I have been to Medjegourie not to Lourdes but that is also mystical. Yes some days we have to pace ourselves and if we cant do a journey then we cant and that is it. I hope your treatment is going okay for you best wishes

I’m on watch and wait until until a scan 4oct with a meeting with my oncologist on 11oct. The break gave me the opportunity to make that trip. It’s my second trip to Lourdes. The first time was after I completed my first line treatment. I am spending a few days in Dublin before I go. Take care Joan
