The spine score you've shared is just one of several scores that would have been created from the DEXA scan. Do you have your full report with all your spine scores, including BMD measurements, your total hip and neck of femur scores, and a fracture risk score? That will give a much better picture, although still limited by the lack of bone strength scores - density and strength aren't the same thing!
I have similar scores and am 70. I too am like you with diet, exercise, weight training, etc. Did all the things you are doing. I am still refusing medication. My mom did all the meds and protocol for osteoporosis and began fracturing like crazy around age 87. She still does infusions at 92 and continues to break bones.
i am 58 and also have a lumbar T score of 4.1. It’s tough to wrap my brain around. I had 2 sacral insufficiency fractures in 2022. I am also not agreeing to meds, and am trying supplements, diet, and exercise. You are not alone.
I am 67 and have similar scores. I declined the meds for many years but then surrendered this year. My Rheumy said I'm at high risk for fractures due to my petite frame and height loss. I had Reclast IV in March, did well, and just hope my numbers will improve. I take calcium, vit D3 and magnesium and I'm also in PT. Best wishes to all!
