MyGuruSSBloveforever, research boron, krill oil and annatto tocotrienol for your osteoarthritis as well as K2MK4 from grass fed sources or emu oil.

I recently started on the annatto tocotrienol and am hopeful. Do be aware that boron can raise blood pressure even at the recommended dosage. I reduced my dose by half. Of course it's too soon to know if either of these will help me but it's good to see it that Pte82 has also recommended them.I do take a high quality fish oil, not krill, and I alternate MK4 with MK7.

Reese4, I'm glad you using the tocotrienol. It has an interesting history and a promissing future. Fortunately, I haven't experienced a negative with boron. BP stays at 120/68 using 9 mg a day for years and the cardiovascular benefits that go with it is well documented. Where can I find the information about raising blood pressure? I used to use fish oil too but have found krill the better choice for me. I'm getting MK4 from primarily grass fed sources after reading about Dr Weston Price and Activator X.

I'm so sorry. I'm unable to find the information on boron, all I can find now is that it's good for heart health. I can't imagine...I even removed the bottle from the fridge thinking I was getting too much. Must have been a dream. I don't like posting misinformation so I'm glad you responded. If by chance I find it I'll surely let you know. For now I've put the boron back in my regimen.

You have performed a public service and helped yourself at the same time by making that effort. You are exceptional.

Thanks, all, for your discussion. I was eating about 6 to 8 Southern California prunes, roasted brazil nuts, almonds daily to get boron....apparently Southern Calif soil has the most boron of any U.S. soil. I'm also following Dr. Susan Brown's Better Bones site for appropriate daily intake of calcium, ionized magnesium, MK7, Vit C, and Vit D. Do you have any recommendations on what type of krill oil to buy? I know I also need Omega 3s to supplement.

Ruth-S, a good beginning is to search on "choosing a krill oil" You will understand the product better and not get tangled in branding. You are definitely in the right spot for boron, however when your dealing with a serious health conditions be certain of what your getting a day. I suggest taking one 3 mg boron supplement a day as insurance. Also, favor grass fed sources to better utilize the K2MK4 it offers for it's bone benefits. Finally, check out liposomal vitamin C.

You have posted this question on an osteoporosis site. I know they call it Bone Health! However HU does have a community devoted to osteoarthritis so you may get more responses posting there as well.
