Today I start healing

My gastritis is flaring up and causing me a great deal of grief. I know what I need to do. I bought a bag of steel cut oats, some seeds and banana and frozen wild blueberries. That will will be my meal fir the next couple of months. Boring for sure but necessary for now. I will miss all the things. But I'm starting to think my stomach will never tolerate anything other than chicken, salad and oatmeal..

We’ll done Tigerlilly81 😊

Great positive attitude. My daughter finds similar. If in doubt, she lives on porridge and bananas. Recently, however, she’s been able to eat baked fish (salmon, cod etc), a few baked or boiled potatoes and lots of green veg such as broccoli. One day she even had a few prawns, with some fresh herbs (no spice or soy sauce etc). So there is hope 😊

Wishing you masses of luck ☘️xx

Oats or porridge as we call it in the uk is so kind on the stomach and is always my go to when I need to feel full but can't eat anything. I'm surprised you can tolerate seeds and berries as I would find them difficult, but we're all different. For me mashed potato is ok, Another standby is Greek yoghurt with bananas and grapes. I'm usually ok with plain chicken and veg. Hope you feel better soon.

I empathise. Keep the faith.Your body will heal if you help it.Blueberries could be too acidic for an acute phase.Melon is low acidity. But hey if they suit you.We are all different. Good luck.x
