My step daughter is 17 and recently moved in with my partner (her Dad) and I permanently after her mum sent her away.
Four months on we are encountering so many problems, particularly her inability at a high level to understand our feelings. She has no empathy at all.
She’s withdrawn, works hard but her handwriting has gone so small, her teachers now say she may have problems in exams as examiners won’t be able to read it.
So many issues it’s affecting all relationships and removing all joy from the household.
Advice please!
Thank you

Hiya Glitterdaisy1. Sounds like it has been a big change for all of you. If you are worried about Autism, the first step would be to talk to your step daughter and her school. There is a text service your step daughter can use called chathealth where she can text about how she is feeling. This is the details for that service justonenorfolk.nhs.uk/our-s...
Other websites and services you can contact is ASD helping hands, they have some useful booklets on there that you can download around pre diagnosis.
The National Autistic Society website will also have good information on there.
