Hi I still give my daughter milk before bed and she's 4 I only give her a small amount at 120ml.The school offer her milk at school too. I don't know if/when you should stop it. It's a god source of calcium.

Are you offering full fat or semi skimmed?

You are right that calcium is an important part of her diet.

The amount of milk she has, will also be affected by the other dairy sources she has, for example, cheese, yoghurt etc.

You will also need to make sure she brushes her teeth after her milk, before bed but lots of children still milk as part of their evening/bedtime routine.

First Steps Nutrition is probably going to be the best bet for looking at the calcium content in foods.

Best Wishes Rachel
