Glasses & ear defenders

My 7 year old son wears glasses for reading and also wears ear defenders whilst at school. The problem we are having is he is finding that when wearing both at the same time it is hurting his ears/head and is just generally uncomfortable. We have been to the optician and the have just said to try plasters. does anyone have any suggestions or have dealt with something like this? Many thanks

Hello!I don't have any particular suggestions but have my own experience of wearing glasses and a noise-cancelling headset on lots whilst remote working during lockdowns! I often get very sore ears / head. I've found repositioning them frequently helps stop pressure points forming and even a few short moments without them on helps. Are there quiet opportunities during the day that your son may be able to take them off for a short period of time?

I've also found some headsets are better than others in terms of cushioning and tightness, though I appreciate with ear defenders this may not be as available! The only other thought I had was around foam / silicone sleeves for the arms of his glasses though this may impact on the fit of his glasses!

I'm hopeful someone else will have some experience with this and might have some suggestions... Let us know how he gets on 🙂
