I was wondering if anyone has any ideas to help my 4 month old take a bottle. Breast feeding is going really well and I’m in no rush to leave him but I think it would be good for him to take the bottle to give me a little bit of a break as I’ve got a toddler as well.
I’ve tried different bottles, different temperature, different times of day, other family members giving it to him.
I was told if he was hungry then he would take it but he got himself that worked up, was no chance he was going to take the bottle.

Sounds like you gave tried lots of different things already.
Some babies do struggle to alternate between the two. Are you offering expressed milk in the bottle or formula? Have you tried putting expressed milk on the teat for him to get an initial taste?
Sometimes babies are more likely to take milk from a slanted cup as opposed to a bottle. Similar to this one...
amazon.co.uk/Bickiepegs-DCT... (link for picture reference only, there may be different brands available.) It will take some practice as very different to what baby has experienced before, but this option may be worth a try.
