Hi I'm thinking the same my little girl is nearly 2 we have been using the potty since she was 6 months but only so she was used to it, occasionally she asks for the potty and has done something but she still relays on her nappy we are thinking of braving it when at home and having the potty close by and hoping she will sit on it or ask to use it.

Not sure this has helped much sorry

Great idea planning potty training during a holiday... maybe also during the lockdown it can be a great time to start. pottytrainingbox.com helped me a lot. Have a look online, my kids loved it.

Hello MumofT185 ,

There are a few signs your child may be ready to start toilet training...

Showing an awareness of doing a wee or poo or when they have done one.

Be aware of other family members using the toilet etc.

Being dry for 1-2 hours at a time.

It is also important to start introducing the concept, by moving nappy changes to the toilet/bathroom etc. Making the toilet/bathroom a nice and inviting space etc.

Eric have some great tips on potty/toilet training, and we can also give further advice at Just One Number 0300 300 0123.

Hope that helps! :-)

You can start when you see any signs of joining you to the bathroom. Doesnt want to wear a diaper anymore. Have a look online pottytrainingbox.com very helpful guide and fun. XXX
